Daron(ne)

Daron(ne)
Noun
In formal french: père/mère

  1. Dad/Mom

Le daron (masculine) and la daronne (feminine) are the equivalent of mom and dad, but it is important to know that it cannot be used to call them. Daron(ne) is exclusively used to talk about them, not to them.

Mon Daron m’a confisqué mon portable, je suis plus joignable. My dad took my phone away, I can’t be reached.

Je dois rentrer tôt ce soir sinon je vais encore me faire engueuler par la daronne. I have to go home early tonight otherwise my mom is gonna yell at me again.
